Well, here is another update on the stray dog that we found. My friends
picked her up last night and brought Molly (her new name!) to her new home.
All the vets and vet techs had fallen in love with Molly and wished that
they could take her home. :-) Molly is one of the sweetest dogs that I
have ever seen. Even the Vet remarked on this saying that when he put the
cast on her leg, she just laid there and never made a sound nor did she try
to take her leg from him. She just laid there and watched what he was doing
and wagged her tail. The total vet bill for Molly was $800 but the vet only
charged my friends $100 because they were giving her a home. Isn't that
wonderful???
Molly is settling in well and doesn't have too much trouble with the cast.
She has already jumped up on the couch and made herself comfortable. <VBG>
She is on antibiotics to prevent an infection from forming with her broken
leg and she is also slightly incontinent and will be on medicine for that.
>From what I understand, the medicine will "cure" her incontinent problem -
right?
Anyway, I will periodically post updates on Molly and her progress. Thank
you to everyone who sent both public and private messages telling us what a
great thing we did and/or offering to help with the costs. You are truly a
bunch of wonderful and caring people and I am glad to call each and everyone
of you my friend. Keep up the good work.
This has turned out to be a truly Happy Holiday for us, my friends and, most
of all, Molly.
