 They are not dead.

      fresh cuts should be shiny.
I do not feel that they were stolen.

The cuts are fresh, and we are trying to get everything together ASAP. I'm
having 1000 posters made up tomorrow, and have decided to try an animal
communicator. I'll look into a private detective, as it's looking more and
more like they could possibly be in a fighting ring....a great many GSD's are
missing in the area...I'm trying to get intouch with the owner of 3 show
GSD's perhaps they would be interested in splitting costs on a PI. I tried
sending Zeus on the trail the night after it happened (the night itself he
bloated...luckily not requiring surgery). I think he's far happier as an only
dog and wasn't interested in following the other two. we dusted all dog
footprints off the area around the front of the house and set out dog food,
only found squirrel prints and cat prints so far though. I've also set out a
shirt of mine in the woods on the trail we used to hike together. I've filed
reports with the National Beauceron clubs, and am talking to everyone I see.

<< Contact area BloodHound owners....see if they will let their dogs
     attempt tracking by scent.>>
Great idea! I'll see if there's a local group.
Still no luck but we will try to cover all bases and are letting
everyone know of a large reward upon their safe return.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions, and for passing the word, I have a
ton of e-mail from concerned dog owners, hopefully someone will spot them.
