- from gpg if you pass it the whole mail message, not just the attachment.
Darcs apply works fine, whether you pass it the whole message or just
the attachment.
I've reported the Gnus bug, I'm not sure whether Mutt's and behaviour
is a bug, and I'm pretty sure gpg is doing the right thing (no reason
why it should de-QP stuff, it's not a mailer).
