First of all, I'm not dismissing the idea, just giving my equally
valid view that adding it as a command to darcs isn't necessary. And
I'm not alone in that belief.

In fact, I belief in that so much that I'd be happy to write the
relevant wrapper script and donate it to be included with darcs.
