People have consistently complained about RT, so any viable solution seemed
worth considering. I know that RT can be customized to do just about
anything, but noone has stepped forward to be willing to customize it for
darcs.

There are a few minor issues with our RT setup that roundup fixes by
default. One is having multiple email addresses associated with a single
account. Another is the ability to browse bugs without logging in. The
search mechanism of RT is powerful, but most people find it confusing.

Indeed, this has been the main reason that I haven't been satisfied with
any replacement for RT before coming across roundup. In many ways, roundup
looks like a simpler RT written in python, with a few of RT's warts fixed.
I don't know whether this is true, but roundup really does look like it was
designed by an annoyed RT user (who obviously would keep the good parts).
