large.
30 check fine. One fails with (some details elided):

darcs failed: Error applying hunk to file ...
The same repo with darcs-stable as of 3rd Nov applies all the patches
successfully, then complains about an "Inconsistent repo!", reporting a
difference in the same file as there was an error applying it to.
So I guess your fix is finding the same problem earlier, as intended.
