Eric Kow and myself have been working on a roadmap for future darcs improvements, and we plan to annouce an official version soon. The tentative one can be found here:

Hi,

Given my recent experience — last june, I had to switch one of my repository to subversion, to be able to collaborate with someone working on windows — I would say that windows support is a much important issue than the performance one. The performance is a problem only with very big repositories. I understand that it's a good point to have big project managed by darcs, but I'm pretty sure there are much more potential users on windows — windows have more than 90% of the desktops on Earth¹ — for small or medium project, than the number of potential users on big projects.

If there are contributors working on windows around, I would give the item "improved windows support" a high priority, and move it to darcs 2.1.

Just my 2 cents :-)

Regards,

Gaëtan
