This is huge news.  It is bitter sweet.  On the one hand, the Darcs
community has always relied on David for his dependability of darcs
hacking, brilliance (I describe David to friends as a
"hyper-intelligent scientist"), his concern for user needs and his
desire to break the VCS mold.  On the other hand, this is a time for
new hackers to step into roles within the Darcs community as members
of Eric's team.

I plan to take on more responsibilities within the community, but this
news comes with mildly bad timing for me as I'll be disappearing for
personal reasons until about mid December.  At that point in time I
can come back full force.

Thank you David!  I hope we can live up to your example.
