OK, I did some benchmark as well, based on the big-zoo repos. ;-)

My config:

$ free|grep Mem
Mem:       3496360    2816488     679872          0     557008    1572436
$ grep 'model name' /proc/cpuinfo
model name      : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     E7200  @ 2.53GHz
model name      : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     E7200  @ 2.53GHz

They are here:

A few notes:

- The result for all four cases exactly matches the source repo (versus
  [1]this ticket).

- The converting time is something I can live with, but I hope I can
  reduce it in the future - related [2]darcs issue.

- The interesting part (correct/corrupted result, time, patch number) is
  at the end of the log files.

Thanks again for this collection, I really appreciate it.
