I don't want to sound critical, but even after you explained its meaning it's still lost on me (maybe because I don't know the game ;). It feels like when someone makes an insider joke and only 3 people in a room-full laugh. Also the name and explanation do not create any connection with darcs per se. They can be applied to any revision control system. Of course that may change over time if the project is successful and becomes well known. Anyway, congratulations for the initiative and the effort.
