What's the correct procedure for me now - should I do a local "amend-
record" to do the exiting thing, and then do another "darcs send"?

Hmm... looks like I reacted too fast (I figured the rm -rf / rm -f
wasn't big enough of a deal to hold patch application, but this looks
like it could use some discussion).
Ok, I'll hang on to this patch for a while...
