Hi Eric. Libwww support was introduced only because of pipelining. Now libcurl supports pipelining well enough (more or less) and is a better choice from any point I can think of.
Moreover libwww is not maintained for several years (even Debian plans to remove it). So I see no reason to keep it. Unless someone really uses it.
