By golly you're right ;) I had no idea it kept the full history.
Perhaps one day somebody could work out a better way to make use of
this
within the user interface
An especially useful one for me would be if pushing to a repo failed
(which usually means I've deleted a local branch), darcs offered an
interactive choice of other targets.
