As I said to Daniel (only, by mistake) the "official" Australian style
doesn't mean a cracker to this Australian. Like just about everyone
else, I rely on mimicry; in my case, my reading over a good many years
now. And to _this_ native English speaker and reader, "Darcs's" is
appalling usage. It came as a surprise to me that it could be regarded
as acceptable.

At the end of the day, on this one, you are talking regional usage, with
user age specific factors thrown in.
