Sorry, I guess I misunderstood.  IIRC you were saying that if gitit
was using an sqlite backend, it wouldn't be able to look at mtimes.  I
thought you meant a filecache backend -- so the VCS would still be
Darcs.  Did you mean that sqlite was a (potential) alternative backend
to darcs/git?
