I'm in favor of amend-record on steroids, but just want to point
out (maybe the obvious) that it is not a general solution for
the long-lived branch problem. It works if the "branch" is a
single repo, but it doesn't scale with the dynamic behavior of
darcs, i.e., a group of people working on separate copies of a
"branch".
Good point. It's the same problem that rebase has, though -- the branch has to
be private (or alternatively, means outside of VCS need to be used to
synchronise participants)
There is a ticket for this:
http://bugs.darcs.net/issue891
There is some overlap in functionality between ticket 891 and ticket
http://bugs.darcs.net/issue938
mentioned by Trent.
