Can you you help?

We have a non-Haskeller trying to install darcs-beta, but cabal install
doesn't work for him (because of the error below), so I thought maybe he
just had to run cabal update first... but then he got the same error
message.

If it helps, he installed cabal-install using the bootstrap.sh script.

I thought it defaults to

Mark: that is odd.  Normally, when I instal cabal-install for the first
time, it puts a default server into the config file.
