Sounds like a nice idea! I'd go with some very simple to begin with. Another thing I think would be useful are some regular darcs tips of the month on http://blog.darcs.net. Sort of an indirect approach, where instead of telling you that darcs can make your life easier we just get the point across by virtue of certain things even being possible.
