Thank you Pierre for this accurate assessment of what TRANSPIRED during the
race ... I'm glad none of us EXPIRED; to be honest, there were two times I
had to pray quite earnestly: the first time was on the second paddling leg
that we wouldn't fall over again, and the second time was when we realised
that Werner and Hilda were really missing I we all kney they must have been
swimming.

Mandy relayed the harsh reality of the air temp next to the water just after
our team mates were found: -8 degrees Celcius. Google tells me that is only
17.6 degrees Fahrenheit, so it couldn't have been very cold then, I guess
that's why we didn't die from lack of exposure or something like that.

Thank you Team Have Beer for your unwavering sense of humour; Hilda with the
wrist injury from the previous week and this being her first AR ever, and
Werner for entertaining us with his single speed 29'er.
