Our own Powergirl will be one of the speakers at this year's FEAT, talking
about her latest big mountain summit. James Lea-Cox also made a few
appearances as D&D rides long ago; he'll talk about a bikeride from London
to Capetown..

Hi all,

FEAT is happening again this October in Jo'burg. It's on Thursday, 4
October at the Alexander Theatre in Braamfontein.

As for the line up - a different mix yet again for this fourth edition of
the event.

Three of the speaker names that you may instantly recognise are Martin
Dreyer, James Lea-Cox and Elsie Bezuidenhout.

Although Martin is well known for his Dusi victories, winning Land Rover G4
Challenge, his fabulous successes with his Change a life Academy athletes
and, recently, Freedom Challenge, he's done a good deal of adventure
racing. Back in 2004 to 2006 he competed in many international races with
Team Montrail as well as having great successes with Team Mazda.

James has competed in many adventure races but what puts him on the FEAT
stage is his seven month cycle from London to Cape Town. His talk is
focused on that what and how of making a trip like this happen.

Elsie is a regular AR competitior when she isn't standing on the summit of
high altitude mountains. She's knocked off six of the seven as well as a
number of others. Her most recent climb was to the top of Cho Oyu, the 6th
highest mountain on this here planet.

That's three. There are nine speakers in total. Seven minutes each. You'll
be glad that I choose venues where the seats have armrests - you're gonna
have to hold on to them 'cos FEAT is just going to blow you away ;)

Just remember, don't come to FEAT just for these people that you know.
Especially come to hear those you don't because they'll open your eyes to
the unfamiliar - and you may just really like it.

Tickets are available and they're going swiftly. I initially opened tickets
to FEAT newsletter subscribers - BOOM, just over 100 tickets gone in four
days (and two of those days were Sat and Sun). That was two weeks ago and
tickets have continued to move. There's an EARLY BIRD price of R150, which
is valid until Mon, 27 August. From 28th the price goes to R180. Those
doing group bookings (10 or more tickets), you get your group bookings at
R150 until tickets are g.o.n.e.
