This sounds really strange. Let's see if we can narrow it down. - Do you have dt fullscreen or in a window? Please try the latter. - Is the popup window maybe shown but put behind the main window? Do you see anything showing up in the taskbar (without moving the mouse as focus changes will close the window again)? - Are you able to compile dt yourself? I would add some debug prints then to see what happens.
