Yes, the whole WSL is a hack. And everything using it inherits that.
I see it similarly to Wine. Some hate it. Some provide official Linux
support of Windows programs using Wine. I understand both standpoints.
What should be made available? You installation instructions? What do you mean
with "should"? And why March?
I meant the release of bash for windows containing Ubuntu 16.04 as the
default subsystem.
My install instructions are publicly available as the Gist (which I
won't withdraw). But I'll add a comment to the Gist that no bugs from
Darktable installed that way should be reported. And I won't make any
campaign propagating that Gist, if it's the will of the dev team. It'll
probably get indexed by Google, but I think it won't be too high in
search for "darktable windows".
