Hello, Tobias
After just another deletion of the build directory, git reset --hard
master and recompilation darktable has started making correct names. So
now it works fine and I don't know the reason why.
The previous behavior was so:
The filenames looked like DSC05470.ARW . If the file was being exported,
the notification for the settings
$(FILE_FOLDER)/darktable_exported/$(FILE_NAME)_1600
wrote
...exported in ...darktable_exported/DSC05470_1600/.jpg
The result was: darktable created the folder DSC05470_1600 and wrote the
file with the name .jpg into that folder.
Now it works correctly.
With respect,
Alexander Rabtchevich

The full path for a folder with raws is

or
/media/sasha/WD4_4/Photos/2017.06.04_NFK_Italy
If the file already exists, it is placed in the correct directory, but with
some letter or two instead of _01, _02...
And what are your filenames looking like?

Please tell me what the file folder and file name are. Maybe there is
something special about them. I don't see what change might have affected
NTFS support.
