I am trying to solve issue #9586 for me (see
https://redmine.darktable.org/issues/9586).
As Tobias pointed out, the problem has already been solved upstream,
but the latest release of this library doesn't contain it yet
and the project seems rarely updated. To get it solved for the
time being until a next update arrives (if at all) I chose to
git clone and build it locally in the same prefix as my
own darktable build.
After setting PKG_CONFIG_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH the darktable
build finds the library correctly. However, if I run darktable,
the Map module is not shown. Building the library with GObject
introspection doesn't solve it either.
If I use the version of my distro (Debian Testing) all works fine.
What else do I have to do to let darktable show the newer Map module?
