Hi houz,

I have read your blog:

http://www.darktable.org/2011/07/that-other-os/

You said you have successfully cross-compiled darktable for Windows
from a Debian box, with only very little modification to the source
code.

I understand your reluctance of including the Windows OS, as
supporting Windows will be a big ongoing committment. However are the
modifications for cross-compilation in the git sourcecode? If so, is
it in the trunk, or in one of the branches? If not, then could you
please show us the changes made, and the procedure of getting the
libraries ready for the MinGW toolchain?

I am on a Ubuntu 12.04 amd64 machine, which I compile the Linux binary
with, and has all the dependent packages for the Linux binary. I have
just installed these mingw packages:

  binutils-mingw-w64-i686 binutils-mingw-w64-x86-64 gcc-mingw-w64
  gcc-mingw-w64-base gcc-mingw-w64-i686 gcc-mingw-w64-x86-64 mingw-w64
  mingw-w64-dev mingw-w64-tools

Do I also need to cross-compile all dependent libraries of darktable
for MinGW from scratch?

Thanks!
