Good work Michal! Is the freeze related to OpenCL and/or pthread / mmap stuff? And have you tried to use conditional macro to (temporarily) disable all OpenCL and multithreading in the Windows version of darktable?
anyway, are you using Linux to cross-compile? If so, are you using OpenSUSE? I have just installed OpenSUSE 12.2 in virtualbox because people say that OpenSUSE has cross-compile GTK libraries available, whereas Ubuntu hasn't. If you also use OpenSUSE, could you please list all dependent packages for the cross-compile? Also, where can we find your cross-compile patch? Is it in the git repository, or your private repository? Thanks!
