Most of the things I want to do would center around exporting multiple copies at different resolutions or with different styles. For example, export a set of thumbnails, a set of images for the web, and a set of images that will go on CD for delivery to the client. Then, for images with a "slideshow" tag (or yellow star, or whatever), I'd generate a set of images that has an auto-generated overlay with date/title/copyright/etc, which I can use in digital frames/lobby displays/etc for promo purposes. I think the remainder of what I'd use it for is covered under exif data modification -- ensuring consistency of copyright information, for example.
