No, only the ubuntu packaging files are outdated, they have simply not
been maintained in the darktable source tree.

I currently have no debs of git master.

Only 1.1.1 (release ppas) and the darktable-1.1.x branch (unstable ppa).

I'm not sure when I'll start tracking git master in my unstable ppa
again, probably after I'm stopping to maintain 1.1.x
