I use a full linear workflow in DT. That means my 'basecurve' is always switched off, I do all contrast changes through 'tone curve' or by other means.
The annoying thing is that when I turn off 'basecurve' via the 'more modules' list, it still get it applied with the 'Panasonic-like' curve, by default, to any image I import. I can't hide it because I have to explicitly switch it off for any new image I import. This sucks. This brings me to the feature request. I think those modules that do have an on/off switch, there should be a way to tell DT what the default of these modules is. Ultimately per module. But for starters, if there was a 'global preferences' option that says: 'disable hidden optional modules' this would work well. I added the 'optional' in there because mandatory modules like 'demosaic', 'input color profile', 'output color profile' etc. would not be affected by this. Only modules that have an on/off switch. .mm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Master Visual Studio, SharePoint, SQL, ASP.NET, C# 2012, HTML5, CSS, MVC, Windows 8 Apps, JavaScript and much more.
