go to the basecurve. switch it off. store a new preset for that and
make it auto-apply.

all newly imported images (which have no xmp file yet) will have the
basecurve switched off.

(there was a button to overwrite defaults instead of doing auto-apply
presets, but that lead to inconsistencies with same xmp file and
different darktable installations on different machines)
