Ah, then maybe our usermanual is a bit unclear on the function of "z" and we seem to have a small bug in addition.
What "z" does in fact is fully zoom into the image under the mouse cursor. If you release the key it goes back to the original view. "z" does not switch to fullscreen mode. That function is linked to key accelerator F11. The bug (just discovered): "z" does not work until you have once clicked on one of the thumbnails. Concerning the overexposed shortcut "o" (which only works in darkroom mode): maybe you have an image without over/underexposure. In that case you can't see any difference.
