Someone wrote somewhere that to use Darktable, you must have a warped
mind. That was a specific reference to the GUI, but arrogant answers
like the above "no" really gives us new users, trying out Darktable kind
of the same impression. A sort of hostile environment.

A mailing list does give the impression of a somewhat closed community,
not all that welcoming to new users and much less user friendly than a
forum, which also gives a presense on the www that a mailing list does not.
