That's very bad idea, since I frequently draw masks partially outside of 
a picture.

That way of painting masks would be very useful. But instead of brush, a 
spray should be used. Maybe it would be possible to create a shape and 
then spray it over the picture. I hope rendering so many shapes wouldn't 
be overburden.

It would be nice to have gradient masks, but currently it's possible to 
simulate them with stretched mask shape and giant smoothing shape.
