Thank you Johannes for this clear explaination about libraw. So the best
solution would be to use rawstudio code, any "plan" to do that in future
releases?

I'm using darktable 1.2.1 sources, don't see anything in git log about that
on master branch. Any idea? It doesn't seem to be disabled by default, I
can see a lot of squish usage in the build log
