you currently can't set directly GUI elements in lua, GUI is a complicated
beast and I want to add lua in manageable pieces, but it's planned
your problem with tiff format is an interesting one... the mechanism would
be to have you somehow tell the core what formats are/arn't allowed. There
is a mechanism for that for generic storages but not lua storages. I'll
have a look how to add a way to specify that, it shouldn't be very
complicated
and yes, it is a first version. I add features as need arise, but as said
earlier GUI is a complicated beast so it will take a little time...
