I only noticed that it is a bit strange, that an enabled by default option (remove after import) (yes a fresh instance has it afaik enabled by default), continuous to import and removing files in presence of errors (like disk-full). As I learned now, I will disable the cleanup option and will do it afterwards by hand (which is a bit ugly when importing not all images at once for sorting into different roles).
I never said it wasn't my mistake, as it was without doubt. Maybe the import from cam, as using gphoto which is a root of a lot of pain, should be disabled and an new import from location (some temp dir on disk or mounted sdcard) wizard should be added, enabling an import workflow with tagging and sorting into different roles and such. Maybe in future a tagging help using libface could also be added.
