You can convert the Fuji X raw files to 16-bit tiff images first, then work on the tiff files with darktable. You will need the latest version of dcraw (9.19) for this to work. You can also use the latest ufraw compiled from CVS source; however to use the preview, you need to go to 100%, otherwise the image is green and will throw white balance completely off.
