Does not work if the film roll is empty from the beginning ;) Normally, a film roll should remain until the last image has been deleted. You described intended behaviour. My issue is slightly different: somename/NEF imports sometimes both the somename/NEF as well as someroot/somename - But the second one does not contain images itself. Adding an image just to remove it would be a crude workaround, i prefer to fire up "SQLLite Datanbase Browser" ...
