I'd like this module to come to light at some point. I know it has been discussed, not sure if some progresses have been made.
Anyway, I have little time but I want this to happen sooner than later. My message is to know what the best way to keep starting and to find some people interested to help on this task. My idea is to start the printing module to have the framework in place. As a first step I'd like to have a single page to print a single picture at a time. The printing module must at least support printer ICC profile of course! In the long run it will be nice to have templates supports for printing multiple pictures. This is to start the ball rolling... Then the interesting parts. - Are they people ready to help on this task? - Is there people with good knowledge about printing on GNU/Linux? How t o select the printer? How to get the paper size? How to layout a picture on the page? ... I've never ever worked on these areas and I must say that this is a bit intimidating to me :) - Is there people with good knowledge about printing color profile? I think I may be able to find my way in these arcanes... But not sure... All in all I know many people are waiting for a printing module and I'd like to see this happen in 2014 :) Waiting for ideas... Contributors...
