Interesting to see the photographs, and good to have more source material! That sounds right about the X20 applying lens distortion when it generates JPEGs. Darktable won't as it depends on lensfun, which doesn't (yet) have a profile for the X20. Though there's some discussion on the internet about "embedded lens profiles" in raw files. Am curious if that is for real, and they are usable. I've seen no sign of them, myself...
