There is no intention to color manage GUI widgets in dt. That is the job of the toolkit (GTK+ in our case) and might eventually happen. But not because we do it. Once Wayland has landed with its support for full screen color management we will see what they have to offer to developers, past discussions with them (mostly Richard Hughes) have tended towards allowing regions of a window (or widgets if done though the toolkit) to be non-managed so we could just leave it to Wayland to manage our GUI and just take care of the actual image content. Specifically coding for Oyranos or similar niche solutions is not what we want to spend our time with. And to be honest, our GUI is so dull that I don't see a real problem using it on wide gamut screens. I do that myself all the time. I just expressed what I understood to be our stance, but we didn't talk about it too much yet so I might have missed some opinions. I'm setting Pascal into CC, maybe he wants to elaborate?
