That looks like a good change, however if the value is being set to zero by
a means other than the preferences dialog (which it seems to be) then my
understanding from the commit message is that the referenced change won't
help.

It may be that a user who has a zero value and opens the config dialog will
correct the problem, but this still relies upon the user opening the config
dialog.

Is it still worth opening an issue here?
