You can NOT add 'creators name' or any other metadata in the import dialog.
I think that some time ago 'creator', 'publisher' and 'rights' were moved into the GUI options within the preferences and removed from the import dialog. So .... I have added my name into the GUI preferences and it is not appearing in the lighttable /left panel/ metadata editor. Hope fully this is more clear now.
