Sorry about the assumptions in my previous email, I've recently
had my head deep inside some i18n changes for a work project so
I'm just seeing locales everywhere.....aaarrggghhh!
I don't think you're necessarily missing anything from your
system setup; I think the problem is more in the unbounded calls
to sprintf() that I identified earlier today. However, since I'm
not currently building git-master I'm not really in a position
to go and fix it.
Did you get a core file from the process?
