As a windows user you may not be aware of the very basic security of Linux.
The reason you are getting those "missing" messages is that you are
running as an unprivileged user and so don't have access to determine of
those files are installed. They may not be missing, it's just that you
don't have the privilege to see if they exist or not.

It may, but this is so swamped by that access issue its difficult to say
for sure. There may be changes that have rippled though, but that just
begs the question of what else you've done since installation.
