The problem is with Firefox, not darktable.
In Firefox, type in "about:config" in the address bar.
Then search for "color_management" in the search bar at the top.
In the line "gfx.color_management.mode" change the Value from "2" to "1".
Restart Firefox.

management here: http://www.gballard.net/firefox/

Hello,
I am generating JPEG with the default settings of Darktable, and it
seems that Darktable always include an embedded color profile. Even
for sRGB.
However with some software which doesn't know how to correctly
process embedded color profiles, the resulting color is completely
wrong.
For instance my Firefox gives incorrect results with this simple
test: https://kornel.ski/en/color
For me (using Firefox) only the "Custom ICC PNG" is broken which
makes sense as PNG is a little special wrt. metadata handling. Could
you show a screenshot of your result? Mine is here:

Here is mine:

(Firefox 45.2.0 on Debian Stable)
48 on Debian/sid here.
How can I generate JPEG with a sRGB color profile but without any
embedded color profile ?
You can't as that's a bad idea.
Well the problem is that JPEG generated by Darktable are seen with
incorrect colors when viewed through web browser like my Firefox.
I don't have this problem anymore when I remove the color profile.
Why is that such a problem to remove the embedded color profile when
using sRGB ?
The JPEG generated by my Nikon (with sRGB color profile), doesn't have
an embedded color profile for instance...
Because there isn't just one proper sRGB that could be expected to be used
when the image is merely tagged but there are half a dozen versions of sRGB
profiles out there. So adding the precise profile is the only sane thing to do.
In your screenshot it seems that all ICC based colors are wrong (I assume that
"sRGB JPEG" is not having an embedded profile?) so that is either a bug in your
"old" version of Firefox or a configuration issue in Firefox. Given that I
never had such problems for years I would assume the latter.
