I am using BenQ GW2765 with Ubuntu 16.04 and DispCAL and Spyder 5 Pro. IMO - it works well. I do force colord because otherwise the os can be confused (I am using a laptop).

I don't know however if this is hardware or software calibration. Youtube does have some info but not specifically to BenQ (very brief search).

For example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsCly1bBzFw

What I am getting from the video is that either way the result is a profile stored within the OS. If I understand correctly - the difference is how this profile interacts with the monitor.

Regards,

B

GNU/Linux?

How does it works BTW?

Is a ICC profile done with DispCAL can be sent to the monitor?

Looking for feedbacks from users having used hardware calibration.

Thanks!
