Hi all,

I'm wondering, if there are some tweakable options I missed or that are
maybe kind of hidden: I'm shooting RAW with my Canon body and have a
standard preset, that gets me to a nice starting point. With my Fuji
(XT-1) I used to shoot jpg only, cause I like the colours from the film
simulations and couldn't match them from the raws. No way, also the
presets from Joao Almeida (T3Mujinpack) are nice, but for my taste still
very often way of from the camera jpg.

Using the JPGs speeds up my workflow, but sometimes I wish I didn't
shoot BW or ClassicChrome or whatever. Then I'd like to have the RAWs.

Easy? Not really, because:

- When selecting images, I have to reject twice, because the rating
(stars / reject ) doesn't affect the "underlying" grouped image.

- When grouping raw+jpg-images, the raw-file is always on top of the
group stack. So if I want to use the jpgs, I have to work ungrouped,
which isn't fun.

How do you cope with this? Is there a switch to tell darktable to use
the JPG as standard and the raw as backup? If yes, it'd be possible to
select all unedited raws in the end (the ones where I prefer the JPGs)
and delete them.

Curious about your suggestions,
regards,

   Felix
