if you are moving *all* which contain "/2016/" in the directory/file
structure, consider:
in lighttable view
collect images reset parameters
collect images folders %/2016/%
select select all
selected images remove
move the complete structure "/2016/*" to the new location
in lighttable view
import
folder choose new location: xxx/xxx/2016
to hedge against mistakes, make a copy of your library.db before starting
and copy your images to the new location rather than moving them.
if all appears to be as desired, delete the old location images and the
library.db copy
