The important thing here is a way to give input focus to a slider.
Each slider has label and a displayed value over the actual slider. A
mouse click on the label could be used to give it focus without changing
the value.
It would make keyboard input to a slider slightly more complicated
adding a click to the process, but at least it would make it possible.
Currently a click on the label changes the slider to a very low value,
since it is on the left of the widget.
In any case, as things stand now, the manual is wrong.
